NRA Gun Safety Seminar (1–2 Hours)
This introductory seminar is designed for anyone who wants to learn the fundamentals of firearm safety — whether you're a first-time gun owner, thinking about purchasing a firearm, or simply want to be more informed and confident around firearms. Course length depends on the group's experience level and questions. This seminar does not include live range time; however, students may utilize our in-house firearms simulator for a safe, hands-on learning experience.

Gun safety rules and principles
Proper gun storage
Types of firearms and their parts
Magazines — types and function
Ammunition — types and selection
Sights — types and proper use
What to expect on the range
What you need at the range
Cleaning your gun
Overview of NRA training courses
Upon completion, students will receive an NRA Course Completion Certificate.
NRA Basics of Home Firearm Safety (4- Hours)
This four-hour classroom course covers the essentials of safe firearm handling and storage in the home. There is no shooting requirement — all instruction takes place in the classroom. This course fulfills the requirements for court-ordered or attorney-recommended firearm safety training.
Topics covered include but are not limited to:
NRA safe gun handling rules and practices
Primary causes of firearms accidents and how to prevent them
Firearm parts and how they function
How to unload various firearm action types
Proper firearm care and maintenance
Safe storage of firearms in the home
Upon completion, students will receive an NRA Course Completion Certificate.
NRA First Steps Pistol Orientation (4-5 hours)
This hands-on course is designed for new shooters who want to learn the basics of pistol shooting in a safe, structured environment. Students will receive instruction and demonstrate proficiency in safe gun handling, basic marksmanship, and firearm maintenance. If needed a firearm and ammunition are provided for this course.
This course meets the training requirements for the Florida Concealed Carry License.
Students will demonstrate the following:
Safe gun handling at all times — on and off the range
Safely loading, unloading, shooting, and cleaning a firearm
Shooting groups from a supported position at 15 feet — three, five-shot groups within a 9-inch circle
Zeroing the firearm — shooting a group on a bullseye target, determining sight adjustments, making corrections, and shooting a confirming group
Safely cleaning the firearm
Upon completion, students will receive an NRA Course Completion Certificate.
NRA Women On Target Instructional Shooting Clinic (4-Hours)
New to firearms? Curious but not sure where to start? This clinic was designed with you in mind.
The NRA Women On Target® Instructional Shooting Clinic is a hands-on, beginner-friendly introduction to the safe handling and use of firearms — taught in a supportive, welcoming environment by an NRA Certified Firearms Instructor.
What You'll Learn:
The three fundamental NRA rules of safe gun handling
Firearm parts, operation, loading, and unloading
How to select the correct ammunition for your firearm
The five fundamentals of accurate shooting
Live-fire shooting from the benchrest position
Safe firearm storage options for your home

4–5 hours of guided, hands-on instruction
Low student-to-instructor ratio — you'll never feel lost or overlooked
No experience required — we start from the very beginning

NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting (8 Hours)
This comprehensive 8-hour course teaches the fundamental knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. The course includes both classroom instruction and live-fire range time. This course meets all training requirements for the Florida Concealed Carry License.
Topics covered include but are not limited to:
Principal parts of a pistol and types of pistol actions
NRA rules for safe gun handling
Safe pistol handling demonstrations
Ammunition components and the firing sequence • Proper ammunition identification and storage
Cartridge malfunctions and how to react to them
Fundamentals of pistol shooting
Shooting positions — benchrest and Isosceles
Live-fire shooting qualification
Scoring pistol targets
Guidelines for selecting and purchasing a pistol
Cleaning materials and how to safely clean a pistol
Continued opportunities for skill development
Upon successful completion of the course and written examination, students will receive an NRA Course Completion Certificate.
NRA Personal Protection In The Home (8 Hours)
Already have your NRA Basic Pistol certificate, CCW credential, or Florida CWP — and ready to take your skills to the next level? This course is your next step.
NRA Personal Protection In The Home goes beyond the basics. You'll develop the defensive mindset, skills, and strategies needed to protect yourself and your family inside your own home.
What You'll Learn:
Defensive shooting fundamentals and mindset development
Strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation
Firearms and the law — including the use of deadly force
How to select the right handgun and ammunition for self-defense
Cover vs. concealment and real-world decision-making under stress
Live-Fire Training Included Students will complete hands-on range exercises and a nationally standardized shooting qualification under the guidance of an NRA Training Counselor.

CCW Certificate
Florida Concealed Weapon Permit (CWP)
USPSA / IDPA / SCSA — C rating or better

Originally developed by the women of the NRA in 1993, this award-winning program has been taught to thousands of participants across the country — and it's open to everyone. No firearms experience or NRA membership required.
This is NOT a firearms course. This is a crime prevention and personal safety awareness seminar that covers a wide range of practical strategies you can start using immediately.

NRA First Steps Shotgun Orientation
Never picked up a shotgun before? This is where you start.
The NRA First Steps Shotgun Orientation is a 3–4 hour, hands-on introduction designed for beginning shooters who want to learn the safe handling and proper use of a shotgun — from the ground up.
What You'll Learn:
Shotgun Safety, Parts & Operation — The three fundamental NRA rules of safe gun handling, the major components of a shotgun (frame, barrel, action), and how to safely load and unload
Ammunition & Shooting Fundamentals — How to identify the correct ammunition for your shotgun, ammunition malfunctions (misfire, hangfire, squib load) and how to respond safely, dominant eye determination, and the four fundamentals of shotgun shooting: Position, Mount, Vision, and Movement
Live-Fire Shooting — Range safety orientation, range commands and procedures, and live-fire exercises shooting straightaway targets using proper fundamentals and follow-through
Cleaning, Storage & Next Steps — How to safely clean and store your shotgun, hygiene guidelines after range exposure, and continued training opportunities through the NRA
What to Expect:
3–4 hours of guided, hands-on instruction

Whether you're new to shotguns or looking to sharpen your fundamentals, this course takes you from the classroom to the range with confidence.

Shotgun Knowledge & Safe Handling — The three fundamental NRA rules of safe gun handling, shotgun types and action styles, major components and their functions, and safe loading/unloading procedures
